POM-C – Polyacetal Copolymer

POM-C is a semi-crystalline engineering thermoplastic characterised by a low coefficient of friction, excellent sliding properties and good wear resistance.

Its very low moisture absorption provides high dimensional stability, particularly when compared with polyamides, making it suitable for components used in humid or wet environments. POM-C also offers good resistance to many chemicals, solvents and hot water.

The material combines high stiffness, mechanical strength and good impact resistance with excellent machinability. It also has good creep resistance, electrical insulation properties and maintains reliable dimensional accuracy in demanding applications.

Sheets, rods and hollow bars can be manufactured in accordance with DIN EN 15860. Food-contact grades are also available on request, with specific compliance with EU Regulation 10/2011 and FDA requirements, depending on the selected grade and certification.
